Northline Museum / Material Memory

Things that outlive us.

A museum of made things, worn things, and the small decisions that survive their makers. Start with the current exhibition, then follow the evidence wherever it leads.

01 / Current exhibition

The room remembers.

Objects do not keep a single story. After the First Use follows tools, containers, and keepsakes through the hands that changed them.

A study of changed objects

When a useful thing becomes a witness.

Three hundred years of repair marks, substitutions, and improvised solutions. The exhibition asks what becomes visible when we stop treating wear as damage.

A field guide to traces.

Filter the study shelf by the kind of evidence an object carries. Every record opens a different route into the archive.
