Alder Vale / Farm

Regenerative growers / Hudson Valley

Grown to endure.

Alder Vale is a 42-acre working farm growing vegetables, herbs, and a healthier relationship with the soil.

Now planting: late summerSince 2014

01 / In the field

The ground is the work.

We keep the farm small enough to notice. Each block is observed, covered, and given time to become more alive than we found it.

Better food begins below the harvest line.

Our growers rotate crops, keep living roots in the ground, and make compost from what the farm already gives us. The result is produce with a clear origin and a longer horizon.

03 / Our method

A slower kind of efficiency.

Regeneration is not a mood. It is a set of practical decisions repeated until the farm can carry more life.

01

Keep it covered.

Cover crops protect the soil between seasons and give pollinators a reason to return.

02

Follow the water.

Swales, mulch, and careful irrigation help every drop stay useful for longer.

03

Share the yield.

We sell close to home, so the value of a harvest stays with the people and places that grow it.

04 / Come by the farm

Let’s plan a good table.

Tell us what you cook, what you grow, or what you are curious about. We’ll send the next harvest list and a sensible place to begin.
