What website maintenance covers
What LaPage takes care of each year, what is outside maintenance, and who owns your domain.
Updated October 9, 2026
In the first year, maintenance is included in the website price. From the second year, the fee and term follow your contract.
LaPage takes care of
- Hosting: the servers that run your website and CMS.
- SSL: your website always runs on secure
https. - Backups on a regular schedule.
- Security updates to the system.
- Monitoring, and fixing the website if it goes down.
- Fixes to anything LaPage built.
Outside maintenance
- Updating content for you: you can do it yourself with these guides. For LaPage to do it regularly, see Managed Website.
- New features or pages: quoted separately.
- High traffic that needs a bigger server: LaPage advises on a hosting upgrade.
Your domain
Your domain (for example yourcompany.com) is registered in your name and renewed by you with your provider. Set a renewal reminder: an expired domain takes your website offline.
If you want to run it yourself
If you move to another provider or run the website yourself, LaPage hands over the full source code.
